Fishing rods

Now it is time to talk about one of the very important fishing equipment which is the "fishing rod"
The excellent fishing rods gives you the perfect fishing experience.
A new fishing rods has incorporated modern features that are not typical of most primitive fishing cane pole. Modern fishing rods contain reels, which help in the retrieval of fish caught using bait proper for it.

A very advanced feature is the spinning rod where every piece of the rod except rod handle  can move around its axis to allow flexibility when fish caught on snare bait struggles through the water very strong specially big fish.

The fishing gadget is thick at the handle (bottom) and is thinner at the tip like the old cane fishing. This  a very necessary basic design which allows handling, stability and flexibility of the entire shaft length with a stable hand grab .

Classification of fishing rods;
The  typical fishing rod is 6 to 16 feet length (2 to 5 m) and vary in their ability to tolerate the tension of fishing. The length has a lot to do with withstanding force exerted by the fish to the pole, and mostly determines the performance of rods used for fishing.

Cane Poles

Can poles are one of the gadgets which are smaller and less sophisticated in fishing. Usually made of bamboo wood or its other flexible material with the fly line basics attached to it.

Unlike other more sophisticated fishing rods, cane poles do not usually contain reels or its equivalent to be used for reeling in or retrieving fish caught on bait. This same action is known as angling.

Jigging Rods

These rods are best for heavy lures and baits especially when reaching around 180 to 200 meters below the ocean surface. They are made of quality solid materials, which represents its heavy weight. The use of jigging rods is specifically due to alternating current in fishing.

Some oceans have erratic undersea current. that's why lines and the fly bait should be kept in place. Lures also disturbed and cause confusion among fish if lines are not long and heavy to withstand and tolerate water currents under the water surface.
These rods are best for target fishes usually found living in the deep bottomof the sea such as halibut and cod.

Spinning Rods

These types of rods are more popular today. You can use either for light fish or  heavyweight fish even though they were best proof of the trout, walleye and bass fish. They vary in measurements from 5 to 7 feet (1.5 to 2.5 m).

Spinning rods are commonly used in the bass fishing competition because of its flexibility and tolerance to stress. They accommodate bigger and tougher fly lines and stabilize them to avoid line tangles during uncoiling of float lines.
